„Przestrzenie” to debiutancki album zielonogórskiego zespołu New Message. Na Facebooku można przeczytać, że jest to „projekt zbudowany na przyjaźni i dźwiękach”. Band opisuje się jako „Nowa Wiadomość dla świata”, jednak jak jest ta wiadomość? Dobra czy zła? Zaskakująca, a może wszystkim dobrze znana? Wszystkie odpowiedzi znajdziemy na ich krążku.
„Przestrzenie” (Spaces) is the debut album of the band New Message from Zielona Góra in Poland. On Facebook, you can read that it’s „a project built on friendship and sounds.” Band describes itself as „New Message for the world,” but how is this message? Good or bad? Surprising, perhaps well known? All answers can be found on their album.
Muszę przyznać, że moimi ulubionymi piosenkami zostały bezapelacyjnie „Kobieta jak ty” i „Za serce twoje”. W pierwszej, Przemysław Szczotko (wokalista) śpiewa o porzuconej miłości, która została odtrącona zbyt pochopnie i robi to w sposób tak poruszający, że ciężko pozostać obojętnym wobec tej piosenki. Słuchając drugiej, czuję takie wewnętrze zrozumienie dla tekstu i jakby sensu jej powstania. Ogólnie, ogromnym plusem jest głos frontmana, który jest taki ciepły i czarujący.
I have to admit that my favorite songs are unquestionably „Kobieta jak ty” (A woman like you) and „Za twoje serce” (For your heart). In the first, Przemysław Sczotko (singer) sings about abandoned love, which was repudiated too quickly and he does it in so moving way that it’s hard to remain indifferent to this song. Listening to the other, I feel such internal understanding of the text and the sense of its creation. Overall, a huge plus is the voice of frontman, which is so warm and charming.
Cieszę się, że właśnie teraz miałam okazję sięgnąć po tę płytę. Dlaczego? Jest to pop połączony z world music, więc nie jest to jakiś totalny popowy mainstream. Nie ma tu kawałków, które kojarzą się z imprezą lub zabawą, ale raczej są spokojne, relaksujące. Słuchając tej płyty kilkakrotnie, po prostu odpoczywałam po długim dniu na uczelni. Taka muzyka do relaksu jest potrzebna, dużą zaletą tego wydawnictwa jest nie tylko stonowana muzyka, ale także, a właściwie przede wszystkim, mądre teksty piosenek. Kolejnym powodem, dlaczego cieszy mnie fakt, że właśnie teraz dostałam „Przestrzenie” jest to, że ta muzyka już po pierwszym przesłuchaniu skojarzyła mi się z jesienno-zimową aurą. Może to moja podświadomość, ale ten album będzie mi na pewno towarzyszył tej zimy i przyszłej jesieni.
I am glad that now I had the opportunity to reach for this album. Why? It’s pop connected with world music, so it’s not a total pop mainstream. There are no songs that are associated with the party or fun, but they are rather quiet, relaxing. Listening to this CD several times, I’ve just rested after a long day at the university. The music for relaxation is needed, a big advantage of this release isn’t only a toned down music, but also, or perhaps above all, clever lyrics. Another reason why I’m pleased that I got „Przestrzenie” is that the music after the first hearing reminds me of the autumn-winter aura. Maybe it’s my subconscious, but this album will certainly accompany me this winter and next autumn.
Koniec końców, dobre wydawnictwo. Jedyne czego mi trochę zabrakło to takiego mocniejszego muzycznego akcentu w tych odrobinę bardziej dynamicznych utworach, dzięki czemu płyta byłaby bardziej zaskakująca. Udany debiut, który dobrze wróży na przyszłość, mimo że nie wstrząsnął moim muzycznym światem, ale wydaje się, że to nie było celem zespołu.
In the end, a good album. The only thing that lacked a little was stronger musical accent in these little more dynamic songs so that the LP would be more surprising. A successful debut, which bodes well for the future, even though it didn’t rock my musical world, but it seems that it wasn’t the band’s purpose.
