Muszę przyznać, że tego się nie spodziewałam, a przynajmniej nie na polskim rynku muzycznym. Może to szczyt mojej ignorancji, ale kilka lat temu stwierdziłam, że Polska disco polo stoi, więc nie mam czego szukać na rodzimej scenie muzycznej… Może już o tym wspominałam (nawet jeśli to powtórzę), że lubię kiedy ktoś mi udowadnia, że się mylę. Zespół HellHaven z całą pewnością to robi płytą „Anywhere Out Of The World” i to jak!
I have to admit that I haven’t expected that, at least not on the Polish music market. Maybe that’s the top of my ignorance, but a few years ago, I found that Poland is full of disco polo, so I don’t have what to look for on the domestic music scene… Maybe I have mentioned this (even if, I’ll repeat) that I like when someone proves me that I’m wrong. The band HellHaven certainly does it with their album „Anywhere Out Of The World” and how they do it!
Ta płyta to taki muzyczny majstersztyk, w którym łączy się rock progresywny z post rockiem i metalem, a całość jest doprawiona wpływami Dalekiego i Bliskiego Wschodu. Brzmi niepokojąco? Może trochę, ale całość świetnie się komponuje stanowiąc muzyczną ucztę dla naszych uszu. Na samym początku czułam się odrobinę odurzona, oszołomiona tą melodyjną różnorodnością, która mimo pewnych sprzeczności ze sobą harmonizowała. Po przesłuchaniu całości miałam ochotę na więcej, co pozwoliło mi skupić się nie tylko na brzmieniu muzyki i głosu wokalisty, ale także tematyką. Ten album to takie rozważanie nad tym, co jest nam narzucane przez świat jako akceptowane, właściwe, ponadto pojawia się zagadnienie drogi, którą pokonujemy podczas życia i która prowadzi nas do nieuchronnego końca, czyli śmierci.
This album is a musical masterpiece, which combines progressive rock with post rock and metal, and the whole is spiced with influences of the Far and Middle East. It sounds disturbingly? Maybe a little, but this as a whole composes surprisingly good creating a musical feast for our ears. At the very beginning I felt a little dazed, stunned by the melodic diversity, which, despite some contradictions, harmonize with each other. After hearing the whole I was ready for more, which allowed me to focus not only on the sound of music and the voice of the singer, but also a subject. This album is a meditation on what is imposed by the world as accepted, appriopriate, moreover, there is the issue of the road that we overcome during life, and that leads us to the inevitable end, which is death.
Gdyby ktoś był takim ignorantem jak ja, to chciałabym poinformować, że krakowsko-myślenicki zespół HellHaven funkcjonuje na rynku muzycznym od 2010 roku, w którym wydali swój pierwszy krążek. Dwa lata później podpisali kontrakt z niemiecką wytwórnią Legacy Records i wydali drugi album. Ich drugie wydawnictwo zdobyło przychylne recenzje nie tylko w Polsce, ale także na rynku angielskim, francuskim i kanadyjskim. Ponadto grupa wypuściła album z zapisem koncertu oraz DVD.
If someone was such an ignorant as I was, I’d like to inform you that the band HellHaven (originating from Kraków and Myślenice) works in the music industry since 2010, when they released their first album. Two years later, they signed a contract with German label Legacy Records and released their second album. Their second release won favorable reviews not only in Poland but also on the English, French and Canadian music market. The group also released an album with the recording of the concert performance and DVD.
Czas na zasadnicze pytanie: jaki jest ten album? Uzależniający – przede wszystkim, ale też zagadkowy, dzięki czemu na dłużej zostanie mi w głowie. Dużym plusem jest nie tylko to, że będę chciała wrócić do tego wydawnictwa, ale przede wszystkim fakt, że ta płyta była wstrząsająca…. dla mojego muzycznego świata.
Time for a fundamental question: what’s this music album? Addictive – first and foremost, but also mysterious, so it’ll be for longer in my head. The big advantage is not only that I want to go back to this CD, but above all the fact that this album was rocking…. for my musical world.
