Do płyt „bez prądu” i w ogóle wszelakich nagrań akustycznych mam po prostu słabość. Po płytę „Hey w Filharmonii. Szczecin Unplugged” sięgnęłam z wielką chęcią, a za razem rozczarowaniem, że nie wpadła mi wcześniej w ręce. Miałam okazję słuchać tej kapeli dwa razy na żywo, więc nie potrafię stwierdzić, jak to się stało, że nie przesłuchałam tego krążka wcześniej.
I just have weakness for unplugged CDs and, in general, all kinds of acoustic recordings. For the album „Hey w Filharmonii. Szczecin Unplugged” I reached with great willingness and at once with disappointment, that it hadn’t got into my hands before. Twice, I had the opportunity to listen to this band live, so I can‘t say how it happened that I haven’t listened to this album at least once before this week.
Hey jest bez wątpienia zespołem, który potrafi tworzyć dobrą muzykę, czego dowodem są ich płyty pokryte niejednokrotnie platyną czy złotem. Co więcej, jest to band, który ma już na swoim koncie płytę unplugged, która powstała we współpracy z MTV- chyba każdy słyszał o serii koncertów „MTV Unplugged”. Jaka jest ta płyta? Czy jest interesująca? Czy może ma w sobie coś z odgrzewanego kotleta?
Hey is undoubtedly a band that can create good music, as it’s evidenced by their LPs has been certified platinum or gold. What’s more, this is a band that has already recorded an unplugged album, which was created in collaboration with MTV- I think everyone has heard about the concert series „MTV Unplugged.” What is this album? Is it interesting? Or it has something of hoary old chestnut?
Zespół zagrał koncert, którego zapis znajduje się na tej płycie, w bajecznej filharmonii w rodzinnym Szczecinie. Wykonali swoje dobrze znane utwory w nowych opracowaniach i w towarzystwie muzyków szczecińskiej filharmonii. Kawałki, które pojawiły się na tym albumie to miks starszych i nowszych produkcji, z przewagą nowych. Widać, że Hey nie jest tym samym zespołem co na początku kariery, coraz mniej rockowym, a coraz bardziej nostalgicznym- a przynajmniej ja odbieram ich muzykę jako nostalgiczną. Jedno na pewno pozostaje bez zmiany, a mianowicie jakość granej przez nich muzyki. Zespół zabiera nas w niesamowitą podróż po świecie dźwięków i emocji, którą możemy się cieszyć przez nieco ponad godzinę.
The band played a concert, that record is on this album, in the unreal Szczecin Philharmonic Hall. They performer their well-known songs in new coverages and in the company of musicians from Szczecin. The musical compositions, which appeared on the album are the mix of older and newer productions, with a predominance of new ones. You can see that Hey is not the same musical group as at the beginning of the career, becoming less rock and more nostalgic- at least I perceive their music as nostalgic. One thing for sure remains unchanged, namely the quality of the music played by them. The band takes us on an incredible journey through the world of sounds and emotions, which we can enjoy for a little over an hour.
Hey nie odkrywa może przysłowiowej Ameryki tą płytą, jednak aranżacje utworów i głos Katarzyny Nosowskiej (a nawet jej komentarze) budują magiczny klimat. Czy jest ciekawie? Tak, jednak dla mnie płyty „bez prądu” mają w sobie ten niezawodny czar pewnej surowości, który zawsze sprawia, że jestem podekscytowana i zaintrygowana. Po prostu, dobra muzyka, której nigdy za wiele.
Hey maybe haven’t discovered the proverbial America with this record, but the coverages of the songs and the voice of Katarzyna Nosowska (and even her comments) build a magical atmosphere. Is it interesting? Yes, but for me the albums „Unplugged” have in them the reliable charm of some kind of austerity, which always makes me excited and intrigued. Simply, good music, that you can never get enough.
